Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter, and musician. He was a member of One Direction. Born at Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England 1 February 1994, Harry Styles is the son Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive school. There, with three other students, he founded the group he was a part of, White Eskimo. They won the Battle of Bands in 2009 with their amazing results. Despite having always shown interest in music He also wished to become an attorney or physiotherapist. In the past, he was employed part-time in a bakery in his city to help to support his family financially. As of the year 2010, Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he performed the song Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. The group was then forced by this. Nicole Scherzinger proposed to Harry Styles to be part of a new band, One Direction. The other members were Liam Payne Zayn Mallik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. The formation of the group took place in the year 2010 and the five youths were funded by Simon Cowell. They sang Kelly Clarkson's My Life Would Be Sucky Without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart throughout the competition. It led them to becoming one of the leading contenders. They were in third place, after Rebecca Ferguson and Matt Cardle which won. Harry Styles' group didn't take home the prize, however Cowell nonetheless paid two million pounds One Direction for them to sign a deal with Syco.
